Honda, which already has the most fuel-efficient lineup of cars in the U.S., also is recognized as selling the most fuel -efficient line of outboards available.
Honda Marine today announced pricing for its new BF75hp and BF90hp engines. Arriving in Honda Marine dealerships in January, 2007, the BF75 remote control model is priced starting at $8,995, while the BF90 enters the market at $9,585. Completely redesigned for 2007, the Honda Marine BF90 and BF75 4-stroke outboard engines offer boaters two models that provide immediate response coupled with smooth, powerful acceleration and fuel efficiency in both fresh and salt water. Both products deliver virtually smoke-free performance and meet California Air Resource Board (CARB) 3-Star requirements, which are 20 percent lower than those federally mandated by the EPA.
Honda Marine has introduced two new mid sized V-Spec outboards to complement their line of fuel efficient 4 stroke outboards. These outboards will replace the current BF-75 and BF-90 production models in the 2007 model year. Both are believed to be based upon the 1.5 liter V-4 and will sport the revolutionary vtech technology found in the larger outboard motors.

The Worlds Largest Four Stroke Outboard, Suzuki Marine has released the worlds first 300 HP Four Stroke Outboard motor and the reviews are terrific. Unleash this beast and you better have a very good hold of something nailed fast to the hull.
It was only a matter of time, we suppose. But we've recently learned that the 300 hp outboard is now a reality. There was a time not long ago that I would have doubted the existence of a four stroke outboard in this size would ever exist. Four strokes were large and heavy even in the 90 hp range, a 300 would require a boat the size of the Queen Mary to stay afloat.
But times have changed and the four stroke outboard is here to stay. Through the advanced engineering and mechanical and electronic innovations, manufactures have upped the ante to the point that current engineers refuse all limitations. Proving that "where there is a will, there is a way" Suzuki unleashes the mammoth of outboard muscle upon the boating world.
