It’s very important for your boat to be winterized during this time of the long cold months of storage. Winterizing Your Boat for the Cold Alaska Winter.

It's time to pull in the docks, rafts, lifts, and boats and bring the summer recreation season to a close. But we are here to remind you that there is more to it than just taking your boat out of the water. Winterizing a boat and motor is the most important maintenance a boat owner can perform to help ensure safe and reliable boating in the spring to come.

Whether you choose to do the maintenance yourself, or have your local marine dealer or storage facility do it for you, winterizing your boat is the best way to ensure your boats proper operation for the next boating season. Regardless of whether your boat is stored inside or out, heated or not, there is some must do preparations required to protect your boat and your boats engine.
