Discuss the Jetcraft brand of boats from the Canadian manufacture Harborcraft. Lightweight, rugged and fast, this is one of the most common boats on Alaska waters and for good reasons.
We purchased a new Jetcraft 1925SK from Ron's Honda Center in Soldotna. This was our first encounter with this 18 degree deep-vee hull and we must say it was a real surprise. The boat response very predictably in all types of water. From a dead start, the boat is up and flying as fast as you can drop the hammer on the throttle. This acceleration is added in part by the new Honda BF150 outboard spinning a Honda 14.8x21 stainless prop. The boat is somewhat under proped as the rpm will still run upwards of 6400 with the 21 pitch. The Solas Scorpion 15.125x23 pitch brings the rpms down to 5900 with 2 people and full fuel but the time to plane really jumps up there. Our overall choice has been to stick with the Honda 14.8x21 (58133-ZY3-A21HR) or the Powertech OFX 4 15.25x21 (58334-ZY3-A21CLH) both available from your Honda dealer and each performs very well on this boat.

Aside from the brand name, both Harbercraft and Jetcraft boats feature the Pre-Flex ® hull design, and heavy-gauge aluminum construction that’s welded, never riveted. And they’re built to fish, with a variety of standard and optional features.
Harbercraft, Jetcraft and Kingfisher welded aluminum fishing boats are marketed in Canada and the United States. These boats are built of the finest grade of aluminum available. Their quality Pre-Flex ® Hulls are designed as a result of years of successful river racing. The Harbercraft, Jetcraft boats are built using a sophisticated aerospace style of manufacturing process that is among the very best in the industry. Our test boat has been flawless in the 60 hours we have recorded on Cook Inlet, Resurrection Bay, Kasilof, Big River, and the Yukon river in Alaska. The fit and finish is second to none allowing for a dry, comfortable, and quiet ride. These are top quality boats that are very affordable to purchase and maintain.
